This is a canister type vacuum and it has excellent suction to pick up hair and clean carpets. We have this machine also and like it a lot due to its versatility,
power, and effectiveness. Because it is a canister, it is more transportable than a traditional upright. The vacuum weighs less than 9 lbs and has hepa filtration.
The pet hair tool (Power Paw Turbo) is excellent and does an awesome job of removing pet hair from furniture and clothes!
